What We Do
For over 20 years. ImmunizeDC has been on the front lines supporting our community and working together for a healthy DC.
We have trained outreach workers, celebrated the successes of school nurses in reaching record high immunization rates in our schools, motivated local Head Start and Licensed Child Development Centers to achieve 100% vaccination for our youngest citizens, and encouraged our Vaccines For Children (VFC) provider offices to sustain 100% vaccination of their patients.
Since 2018, we have been in an exciting period of reinvigoration and restructuring of the coalition, aimed at meeting challenges in the District with renewed energy and sense of purpose. We have brought together a multidisciplinary group of partners to promote vaccine confidence for all age groups, expand awareness of adult vaccines, reach caregivers of young babies, increase the effective use of IIS, and strengthen school requirements and compliance.
We are committed to promoting complete vaccine protection for every infant, child, teen, adult, and elder in our community. We strive to equip and empower our community members and healthcare providers to save lives, boost wellness, and create a brighter future for all.
